CLINIC DESCRIPTIONS

Flexibility Clinics:  $20.00*

Tumbling Clinics: $25.00*


Flexibility Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes
This clinic will focus on proper stretching technique to work towards achieving extreme body positions. This camp is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for athletes who fly on their respective teams.

Back Walkover Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes

This clinic will focus on back bend and back walkovers as well as cartwheel and round off techniques.

Back Handspring Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes

This clinic will focus on standing back handsprings, back handspring multiples as well as round off back handsprings and round off back handspring multiples. Must have back walkover and a round off to enroll in this clinic.

Tuck Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes

This clinic will focus on standing tucks, standing back handsprings to tucks as well as round off tucks and round off back handspring tucks. Must have standing back handspring multiples and round off back handspring multiples to enroll in this clinic.

Layout Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes

This clinic will focus on standing back handsprings to layout and round off back handspring layouts. Must have standing back handsprings to tuck and round off back handspring tuck to enroll in this clinic.

Full/Double Clinic
Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 12 athletes

This clinic will focus on standing back handspring to fulls and round off back handspring fulls as well as standing back handsprings to fulls/doubles. Must have standing back handsprings to layout and round off back handspring layout to enroll in this clinic.

TUMBLING CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 10 athletes

Tiny Tumblers
This class is for athletes (ages 4 to 6) learning basic tumbling & coordination fundamentals. In order to move to Tumble 1 athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Cartwheel
• Forward Roll
• Bridge Up

Tumble 1 Beginner
This class is for athletes currently working on basic tumbling skills. In order to move to Tumble 1 Advanced athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Cartwheel, Round Off
• Backwalkover

Tumble 1 Advanced
This class is for athletes currently working on their standing backhandsprings and round off backhandsprings with a spot. In order to move to Tumble 2 athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Standing backhandspring
• Round off backhandspring

Tumble 2
This class is for atheltes who have mastered Tumble 1 skills and are currently working on standing backhandspring series and round of backhandspring series. In order to move to Tumble 3 athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Standing two backhandsprings
• Round off backhandspring series

Tumble 3
This class is for athlets who have mastered Tumble 2 skills and are working on round off tucks, round off backhandspring tucks as well as standing tucks and standing backhandspring tucks. In order to move to Tumble 4 athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Round off backhandspring tuck
• Standing tuck or standing backhandspring tuck

Tumble 4
This class is for athletes who have mastered Tumble 3 skills and are working on round off backhandspring layouts, standing tucks/backhandspring tucks. In order to move to Tumble 5 athletes must demonstrate the following skills:
• Jumps to standing tuck & backhandspring tuck
• Round off backhandspring layout

Tumble 5
This class is for athletes who have mastered Tumble 4 skills and are working on round off backhandspring fulls, alternate passes through to fulls and double fulls.
 


FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Minimum 3 athletes - Maximum 10 athletes

Hyperflex
This class will focus on proper stretching technique and correct posture to work towards achieving extreme body positions. Athletes registering for this class should already have basic knowledge of the heel stretch, scale and scorpion body positions. This class is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all athletes who fly on their respective teams.

Strength & Conditioning
This is a class will focus on improving balance, core (abdominal & back) strength and flexibility. These are all key components to success in stunting & tumbling. Athletes at any skill level will see gains with exposure to core strength exercises, balance drills and stretching for lower/upper body.

Power Jump
This class will focus on the fundamentals of jump technique, stretching and conditioning to improve an athlete's jumps. Basic knowledge of all jumps is recommended to enroll in this class.

III. Bring Payment to the first class.
Please Note: All class registration must be done through the online registration system. All athletes must be registered no later than the day of the first class. All fees must be paid by the first class date in order for your athlete to participate.

CLASS POLICIES:
I. All classes will start at their scheduled time and will stretch for the first 10 minutes of the class.
II. If an athlete is tardy to the class it is their responsibility to be stretched and ready to go upon arrival.
III. Class must have at least 3 athletes registered to go. Team Illinois reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes if the minimum is not met.
IV. Make-Up Policy: In order to make up a class, the athlete must call ahead of time. Make-up classes are subject to availability.
